Its been a busy weekend for fashion events in Seattle. There was a fashion show or trend event from Thursday to Sunday, it was hard deciding what events to attend. If I could manage to be in more than one place at a time, believe me, this weekend would have been just right for that!
On Saturday, bright and early, I had the pleasure of attending the Stand out Style show in Bellevue Square. The set up of the show was beautiful, located right in the middle of the mall. The runway was a clean white with bright orange accents, the perfect ambiance for spring.
There were 9 main trends displayed in the show: Pop of Citrus, Night into Day, Line Dance, Cold Shoulder, California Dreamin’, Athleisure, White Shirt Redux, Modern Medley and lastly Flamenco Flourishes. Pop of Citrus included beautiful neon pinks and yellows that contrasted amazingly against the white runway. Night into Day included minimalistic statement pieces, amongst my favorites was a ruffled baby doll top in floral print with matching pants from BCBG Max Azria. Line Dance displayed multiple ways to include stripes in your wardrobe: from multicolored statement dressed to subtle wide legged black and white pants. I would definitely recommend to get some stripes in your closet for this season! Cold Shoulder included multiple open shoulder tops from Intermix, BCBG and even Kate Spade. California Dreamin´was all about the hippie chic looks that were in perfect timing with Coachella. Athleisure had fashionable options for those of us that sometimes want to just be comfortable without sacrificing trendiness. Modern Medley included lots of layered spring look with various colors and textures. Amongst my favorites a cranberry statement look from Lucky Brand and a two toned blouse from Kate Spade NY. And the final trend named Flamenco Flourishes showed the Spanish influence of ruffled skirts and bright colors, it had the best going out dresses for all events this spring!
Everyone attending the show received a beautiful make-up bag filled with goodies and discounts to use at the mall. I was happy that the proceeds from the show went to a great cause: the East Side Baby Corner, a foundation committed to helping kids from birth to 12 years old have their basic necessities met.
I go to a lot of these events not only for my love of fashion, but to broaden my network within the city and the world of fashion in general. I was fortunate enough sit right next to the PR director for Bellevue Collection, Cheryl Engstrom and exchange information. I also spotted some fellow bloggers and the style and design editor of Seattle Magazine Jennifer McCullum (who is a total sweetheart btw). I cannot wait for the next event!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I leave you here with shots from my favorite looks from each collection, hope you all enjoy them and get to go shop these looks soon! If you want details about where any specific piece is from comment below and I can let you know 🙂
My look for the event included: ripped jeans from American Eagle, see-though top with spikes on the neckline from H&M, a white cropped blazer from BCBG Max Azria and sandals from American Eagle (on sale for $20).
