Jumpsuits and embellished blazers

Hola Fashionistas!

Its been a while since I have had a chance to post an outfit blog post. It is honestly challenging to stay motivated and driven as a new blogger when you are not sure if anyone out there is reading and caring about what you have to say. But I have realized that that’s not the most important part, what matters is that I am writing post and taking pictures that make me proud and happy and that from there the followers will come.

I have been thinking a lot about new project and opportunities for growth for myself and with that I want to start working with small local boutiques and brands. The personality of the city and its fashion scene come from places like this. Brands and boutiques that have been around for many years and are loved and esteemed by the true Seattle residents. They are the brands that show what the fashion scene in the city is all about and I want to support their efforts and in turn become more involved with the community.

As I meet more people and tell them about myself and my plans everyone has almost the same advice for me and it is that: Things won’t come to you unless you start going out to looking for them. I need to make that step to grow for myself. I want to start a list of local brands to work with and grow from there, hopefully by the time Fashion Week comes around that list will be long and I will have at least one invitation to a show. I have officially bought a ticket for NYC for June 20th and I am beyond excited to head over and network so I can commence my Fashion business journey!

My outfit this week was dedicated to Spring! April is finally here, and Seattle has been lucky enough to have some beautiful warm and sunny days. My favorite transition piece for spring is the jumpsuit because it is comfortable and dressy but perfect to layer once it gets a little cold. I paired a jumpsuit I got from American Eagle (on sale) with my favorite embellished blazer from BCBG Max Azria. For accessories I kept it simple, with a bright orange clutch from Francesca’s and wedges from Lucky Vintage.

In heading to see the tulips this week so there will definitely be some pictures coming up within the next couple of days!

Thanks for reading!!

Wear what inspires you,

-Besos
