Hello my fashionistas!
Happy first week of March! This week has been a crazy rollercoaster of school work and meetings for my New York move. I have finals next week so school work is an at all time high, and sleep at an all time low. Navigating through a job search process, networking, school and fashion events has been close to impossible. I wish there were more hours in the day!
I still made sure to make time to take pictures and blog. This weeks inspiration was the secret alleyways by Pikes place and comfortable fashion that is still chic and sexy at the same time. My outfit is definitely on the minimalistic side, a Urban Outfitters body suit in a red burgundy color paired with simple Levis and a sheep fur jacket from Nordstrom. No matter how simple an outfit can be, with a good pair of accessories, anything is possible. I paired my look with nude heels, a translucent clutch from Nordstrom Rack and vintage sunglasses.
I love the open back concept of the body suit, it is a sexy touch to a simple outfit and you can choose to show it off or put a jacket over it. It was so much fun shooting in the alleyways by Pike’s and running around in heels while people stared and made way for me thinking I was someone famous. Those are the times I can’t help but love my hobby.
As far as my New York plans, I get closer everyday to achieving my dreams, but the process includes more ups and downs than I could ever expect. I have started making concrete goals for myself to stay centered and motivated, like making the decision to go to Fashion Week in September and organizing my connections by categories according to ways they can help me. Finding a future at this point in my life is truly a full time job but I am having so much fun with it!
Let me know what you think of this weeks post, I love feedback. Constant improvement is crucial in moving towards being the best version of myself I can be.
Much love, and don’t forget
