My best dressed picks: Oscars 2016

Sitting by the couch, eating popcorn, wrapped in a blanket, mesmerized by the incredible gowns on the massive tv screen in front of me; that is how I spent my Sunday. I can’t lie, but the aside from the Met Gala the Oscars are my favorite day of the year. I get to watch some of my favorite celebrities on the red carpet wearing some of my favorite designers. I can only imagine the glamour and work that goes into making each of them look exactly the way they do as they strut and pose in front of the cameras. My hope is to someday be the one behind picking these incredible looks

It was a fun Sunday, that for me started at 2pm to the annoyance of my best friend who was watching the Oscars with me. While watching the full E! Red Carpet pre show, I couldn’t wait to share with you some of my favorite dresses and trends so here is a compilation of looks that caught my eye from the moment they stepped out of the limo.

For the best dressed, Ill start from left to right with Best Actress Winner: Bree Larson. Bree wore a beautiful Gucci royal blue gown. I loved the way the skirt falls at the bottom like a waterfall, and the statement belt with embellished stones just help add to the elegant look. Olivia Munn waohed in a bright orange gown by Stella McArtney. I would not have ever thought that wearing orange in a red carpet would look chic, but she pulled it off beautifully. The dress was simple with a one shoulder fold and a single piece of jewelry which I loved. Next best actress nominee Saoirse Ronan wore an emerald green sequin gown that was truly perfect. It fit her body amazingly and the color.. You cant see it in the picture but the button sequins were aligned in a sort of ripple detail that just made the gown even more incredible. Lastly Jennifer Lawrence wore classic Dior with beautiful see though lace. Even though the look could have been a little risky, I feel that she pulled it off extremely well.
